Escape from Tarkov: Ways to Kill Reshala

Four repeatable approaches to the Reshala fight — how to handle his guards, hold an angle, and leave with the loot.

The guards are the real fight

Reshala rarely kills players on his own. His escort does. They push aggressively, flank from multiple directions, and shoot accurately at mid range, so any plan that focuses only on the boss tends to fail.

Deal with the escort first and the boss becomes a manageable one-on-one. Rushing straight at him usually means fighting several accurate opponents at once in the open.

  • Identify how many guards are active before committing
  • Fight them one at a time by controlling your angle
  • Never push into open ground with guards unaccounted for

Approach 1: hold a funnel

Find a position where the escort can only reach you through a single doorway or gap, then let them come. This turns a group fight into a sequence of individual fights, which is the single biggest advantage you can create.

Choose a funnel with an escape route behind you. A strong angle you cannot leave becomes a trap the moment a second group arrives.

Approach 2: use elevation and distance

Engaging from a raised position at range lets you pick off guards before they close. It trades speed for safety, so it works best when you have raid time to spare.

Expect to relocate. Once your position is known, the escort will push it, so pre-plan a second firing point before you take the first shot.

Approach 3: let someone else start it

On busy maps another squad will often engage the boss first. Arriving after that fight resolves means facing weakened opposition, and sometimes finding the loot already on the ground.

The risk is timing. Move in too early and you fight both sides at once; too late and the loot is gone. Listen to the fight and commit when it thins out.

Approach 4: win the fight, then leave

Killing the boss is only half the objective. His loot is valuable enough that other players actively move toward the sound of that fight, so the minutes after the kill are often the most dangerous of the raid.

Take the high-value items first, reload and treat injuries in cover, and start moving toward extraction immediately. Do not linger to sort your inventory in the open.

  • Grab the highest-value items first
  • Heal and reload in cover before moving
  • Extract promptly — the fight advertised your position

Frequently asked questions

Where does Reshala spawn?

He patrols the village and gas station areas of Customs with a guard escort. His spawn is not guaranteed every raid, so plan a productive route in case he is absent.

Should I fight Reshala solo?

It is possible, but the escort makes it difficult. Solo attempts work best from a funnel or an elevated position where guards can only approach one at a time.

What is the most dangerous moment of the fight?

Immediately after the kill. The firefight draws other players toward the loot, so heal in cover and start extracting rather than sorting inventory in the open.
